I am enjoying this lovely release very much. These are two of my favorite Guess Who albums, records I have heard a hundred times and am so familiar with. This 2-fer release combines them both on one bargain-priced SACD Hybrid Stereo/Multi-channel release.

The sound quality is excellent and the surround mixes on these old favorites is immersive, busy and a lot of fun!! It doesn't seem loud or overly compressed to my ears. I don't have any charts showing DR values or whatever. [wink] Some tasteful 360° panning occurs on many tracks, such as on the lead guitar and backing vocals on "No Time" and the acoustic guitars on "Talisman." Plenty of discrete activity in the rear channels, but never over the top. The overall quality of this compared to the Audio Fidelity "Best of" SACD is much better and you get 2 full albums for a lot less than the $30 that Audio Fidelity charged before they went belly up. Heh.

If you have a soft spot in your heart for these two albums I highly recommend this release, especially if you have a 5.1 system.
