This disc is stunning. An old favourite CD takes on a new life here. In the liner notes it comments that Roy Hallee recorded this with quadrophonic in mind and in shows with a beautifully balanced surround experience without gimmicky placement. Nice clear mix and couldn't recommend it enough.

Quadraphonic Sound failed miserably in the 70's due to poor decoders and sub par vinyl pressings but thanks to Michael Dutton who accessed the original QUAD analogue masters, Art Garfunkel's debut solo album shines with a clarity heard only by those masterful Columbia Engineers who remixed it over 40 years ago. Kudos to the folks at Dutton Vocalion for releasing this treasure in a state of the art digital format: hybrid QUAD SACD!

Art’s first album is beautifully mastered here by Mr Dutton with a strong emphasis on clarity and space. The transfer leaves plenty of room for you to turn it up on the Stereo too - a refreshing take on highly compressed modern remasters. It has to be the best CD transfer around and it won’t hurt your pocket either. Well done Mr Dutton. A must for Garfunkel fans.
