A splendid sounding easy listening SACD. Comprising two full albums. The Happy Sound album as the notes explained was recorded with all instruments and vocals live; and comprises standard oldies, concluding with ‘Ecstasy’ a Ray Conniff composed instrumental. The second album 'Love Story' features songs largely in vogue at the time of the 1971 recording. Ray Conniff's trombone features in many tracks in this album (towards rear in quad); with a great selection of songs including catchy versions of 'Sweet Caroline' , ' For The Good Times', and a stunning version of 'My Sweet Lord' with vocals and instrumentals capturing the well-known guitar riff of the George Harrison original.

Overall, for both albums most immersive quad with vocals and instruments coming from all directions; and a quite different but nevertheless great sounding stereo mix.
