This CD pairs two of light orchestral maestro George Melachrino's late 1950s/early '60s stereo RCA albums. Lisbon at Twilight (Highlights)' (1958) contains sumptuous orchestral interpretations of melodies associated with that part of the world including Ladies of Lisbon, Lisbon at Twilight and The Lonely Beach. Our Man in London' (1963), originally produced for the American market but recorded in England, offers more delightful Melachrino orchestrations of evergreen melodies such as Moon River, The White Cliffs of Dover, The Haunted Ballroom and many others.
