If you like brass instrumentations coupled with country style (i.e. added banjos, country guitars etc.), then this is a great SACD of two albums by Danny Davis and his Nashville Brass. Enjoyed the musicality of all tracks, and supreme audio quality throughout. The quadrophonic mx for both albums is of the immersive variety, as if you're located in the middle of the recording studio with instruments surrounding you, brass not just percussion. Another great quad demo.

The overall recording quality captures the various brass instruments with stunning presence and realism. This SACD also sounded great listening to the SACD & CD Stereo layers. Enjoyed all tracks, with standouts being the slower tracks The Last Letter, Almost Persuaded, & Jamaica Farewell, contrasted by the rousing renditions of Life is Like A Mountain Railway, Marianne, & Caribbean. You wouldn't think the iconic Yellow Bird could work in brass, but this ended up as one of my favourite tracks with a suitably haunting arrangement.
